69 c10 paint.

OK so hopefully the forum can help me again. went and finally started tear down on my truck because it basically needs new metal everywhere except the cab and frame. so anyway with the bumpers off and the rear bumper painted gloss white (Thank you rustoleum) I decided to restore the thing as a long bed fleet truck but I don't know what color to paint it. I'm currently looking at 3 colors from house of kolor but I'm not sure which color to paint it. so the three that stuck out to me are brandywine, organic green, and bluegrass, all of them would look great on the truck with the white top and bumpers and whichever color goes on will go on with candy and pearl mixed in. if anyone can help me decide I know it's someone on this forum.

Thanks in advance,
Stephen

Re: 69 c10 paint.

We painted a 32 Buick with organic green.... This is hands down the most beautiful green you will ever find to paint anything.

So I say GREEN.

I have the house of color digital paint booth.... Have to see if these colours are in there....

Re: 69 c10 paint.

Here are the three colors on a short 68. digital Paint Booth did not have the Blue Grass Color so I went with the majestic Blue.

This is just to show the colors, So no hate for the lower stance and wheels Plz.

Re: 69 c10 paint.

Dark metallic paint in any color requires very competent body work , it's got to be really straight and slick or it will look terrible . Also when sprayed it has to be oriented correctly meaning you cant lay the doors/fenders flat they have to be standing upright or they can end up not matching when assembled . Who's painting it ?

Re: 69 c10 paint.

I love the house of colors paint. I used the shimerenz 2 1125-1 with a bronze intensifier and toped with the show clear. All three of the those colors are awesome but I like the blue. I have seen a lot of green and red trucks lately and the blue pops with the white.

Re: 69 c10 paint.

My '71 was Dark Blue before and after considering Crème; Silver; Blue; Silver and Red and Silver and Orange (I have a gal. of Orange and a Gal. of Silver and at least four gal.'s Red ), going to stay with the Dark Blue. Changing the door glass and wing window seals and channels has been holding me up but finished both doors yesterday.

OK so it's between the green and red now. I like the blue but after seeing it on the truck I just don't like it as much as the other 2.
