Re: New guy from BAMA

What type of wood? Husband owns a cabinet shop. He might could get it a little cheaper. When the time comes, he's gonna do the bed for the K10.

Re: New guy from BAMA

My dad and his boss are supposed to be milling me some 1x8x8 planks of White oak. If it all pans out, that will be a beautiful bed. I have to replace all the runners and ALL the hardware but really can't do it all at one time. If the wood situation falls through I will most definately let you know.

Thanks for a heads up on that. Does your husband do all kinds of cabinet work?

Yep! Commercial and residential both. His passion is off shore fishing, so my kitchen has BOAT CLEATS as the pulls!!! Unstained mahogany. He was thinking of putting mahogany in the truck. I'm trying to talk him out of it if the truck is gonna be used by a teenager!!

Re: New guy from BAMA

LooseScrews,
I may need to see where your husband has his shop at. When I get the wood, I'm not sure I can the bed myself. Not sure of any measurements or anything. I will send a PM if I can't figure it out. Thanks a lot....

Uh-oh....what uh-oh?

And the shop is in Calera/Montevallo/Jemison area. LOL!! It has a Calera phone exchange, Montevallo zip, but it's within the county jurisdiction, so that makes it Jemison, too. We actually live about 6 miles from the shop.

I haven't posted on this thread in a while, and this is where I posted most of my pics at. Thought I would post a few updated pics as it set in the driveway right now.
