These pickups were bought mostly by men that went through the Great Depression. Some were more frugal than others and I imagine some were dealer ordered that way ,too. It was a chore for these people to have something to put in their belly when they were young and they never forgot that. I suppose they wanted a nice pickup without all the frills. I guess we are awful fortunate today.

Re: Post a real Cheyenne Super only (aka the defiinitive Cheyenne Super thread)!

I picked this 72 Cheyenne Super up last month. It's a Texas survivor, 46k original miles, matching numbers and in fantastic shape. Only non-factory option is the truck rallye's.

Thanks! My other classic vehicle interests than the '67-'72 GM trucks is Smokey and the Bandit.

Yes it has! I kinda wish I would have pulled the trigger on that truck. I happened to be the first caller on the CL post. It wasn't what I was looking for at the time, but, would have been a good investment. Glad to see it landed at a good home and looks good!

1972 C10 Cheyenne Super. Original owner bought for camping so she spent most of her life with a camper on her back. Restored in 2012.

Whats the part number on the slip cover? It was partially covered in picture. I'm looking for one which I know may be tough but can make one if needed.
