Attention all

One of out members passed away suddenly, Skymangs. Here's the quote from the post (it's in his build thread).

"Just heard last night that Chris, Skymangs, just passed away on 12-23-21. He was very active on this group, and also owned Ol Sarge Customs, even after his accident, he still ran it with his son's. Sadly I haven't kept up communicating with him the last few years, but was a great guy. I don't know any details yet, but wanted to share the news "

Re: Attention all

Wasn't his health greatly compromised by the fire in his shop a few years ago?

Re: Attention all

I do not know the answer to that Dan, sorry. I would suspect that may have come into play, but that would only be speculation and I don't want to start any rumors.

Re: Attention all

heartbreaking. chris was a real one, someone who would help anyone, without expecting anything in return. i talked to him a couple times when i was afflicted with noob-itis and it was great how he answered the same 4 questions he had answered a thousand times for me like it was the first time anyone had asked. i loved his common sense approach, some people need that kind of motivation and it was nice to see him prompt people to consider alternatives to just buying stuff either done or with snap-tite instructions, to make them confident in their abilities. I liked seeing his projects, even when life fed him bowls of lemons and he kept building. godspeed ole sarge.

Re: Attention all

Dang that is really sad to see, he was always one of those who gave a good honest answer to someone else's question and made some great contributions otherwise.

Re: Attention all

I'm sorry to hear this. I consider him to be the S-10 swap master, able to do it faster than anyone else. It was really a heartbreaker when his shop burned.
