Stamping on my 350
Can any one tell me about my stamping on my engine block mean ? On the front on the pad the number is vc 199800 and in the back it is 39 GM 3970010 it would be much appreciated thank you

If VC is the suffix code stamped on the pad of the block up front/left side, I don't see that listed. Maybe it's a replacement block?

If that's definitely a V, the two digit codes that started with V were:
VB - '69 C/10 & C/20 350 4bbl manual trans 255hp VR - '69 C/10 & C/20 350 4bbl manual trans 3spd 255hp VS - '69 K/20 350 4bbl manual trans 3spd 255hp
