Re: Found this gem!

Nice buy. I would love to have that truck and use it. The color and a GMC...just love it.

Re: Found this gem!

Couple questions for you guys, what are the fuel tank capacities? Main behind seat and auxiliary under bed.
Also can’t seem to get the seat back to tilt for access behind seat...?
My ‘64 seat tilts forward....but not the ‘72

Re: Found this gem!

I think after '67, seats folding forward were mandated out of existence for safety reasons. The tank in my '70 is 19 gallons, but I think I've seen optional larger ones. Don't hold me to that, though. No idea on the aux tank. I have aftermarket saddle tanks that are 16 gallons each.

Re: Found this gem!

Absolutely wonderful, except for the modern wheels. Like the 16's and caps, but some wide white 16.5's would even more enhance that beautiful thing!

I'm pretty sure the truck has had less body work.

Looks really good with the steel wheels and hubcaps. What size tire did you put on?

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!

Went with 245 75 / 16 in Sumitomo brand, seems to be a good tire so far, rides really smooth.
