Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

I think my 1972 super is a time capsule/survivor..
Original paint and drivetrain...the seat cover and dash pad has been
Replaced and the alternator is down so I'm going to have it restored
Otherwise we drive it everywhere

my 1972 Cheyenne Super 20,75,400 miles,402/turbo 400,Dana 60 rear with leaf springs.Fremont Ca. built truck sold new in City of Industry,CA at Leo Hoffman Chevrolet.original paint, new Firestone Transforce tires on the original 16.5 wheels.this truck had been in storage in Idaho since 1996 until i bought it a year or so ago.i've done the brakes complete, new carpet, all the belts and hoses, rebuilt a correct 7042206 carb, thanks Jeff in Ohio.the original owner had some white touched up on the bedsides but otherwise it's just like the general built it.i plan to pull the motor and trans out as soon as i find someone to remove the R-12 freon,i have several oil leaks to repair in the trans and engine and i'll renew the dual exhaust and be back on the road in the spring.

Nice addition to the thread! A very "lightly" used vehicle, I like it, the way a "personal use pickup" would have looked like in the mid 70's. But as I remember the era, trucks like this were rarely ever at any used car lot or any used car dealerships back then, people held on to them or kept them in the family, or I would have bought one just like yours a long time ago.

Another addition to this unique thread if claims are correct. 2bbl carb? 307 instead of 327? Posted on craigslist thread by Wikikid61.https://losangeles.craigslist.org/an...578845611.html

Very nice! Yep, first year 307 there, old style oil fill with PCV valve and all. Plus a 4spd! I would love to own that truck!

Color is hard to detect on this one. Interior shots appears to be Light Green. Exterior shot appears to be Terrace Blue or Light Blue. A SPID photo would be nice. A guess it was sold new without a mirror head.

Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

It's been a full year since the last addition. This low mileage base trim K 20 with a painted front bumper is definitely in the time capsule category. Tires seem a little oversize, but spare is the correct factory size 7.50-16, even has the original 2 piece 16" rims.https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-k20-pickup-2/

That's an awesome truck, and I think it looks great with those bigger meats on there.
