Door Mirror Gasket differences 1967-1970

I ended up purchasing two very different sets of outside mirror gaskets for my 70 C10. One with a lip on the perimeter and one without.
I suspect the one with the lip is closer to stock.
Can anyone confirm this for me?
One is a simple punch and the other custom molded.
Cheers

Where did you find the one with the lip around the edge ? It looks like it would be a more "finished" look .

The 2 spare doors I have with that type of mirror ,
Do not have a lip (For what it's worth)

The lip may keep them from chipping paint?

Re: Door Mirror Gasket differences 1967-1970

I know the one without the lip came from Brothers.
The one with the lip was likely from ccr_products off of Ebay.
Search; 67-72 Chevy C/K Truck LH & RH Side View Door Mirror Arm Rubber Gaskets Pair.
$7.95 and free shipping.

And yes, I liked the lipped ones the best. Enough that I changed out the old ones to the lip style.
However, to be fair the flat gaskets protected the paint, just fine, as they were large enough to cover the edges.
Interesting fact is Classic Parts allows you to view your online orders for only a short time. I wish they just left the order history on there site.
