Lithium batteries

Are they good in a C10 DD with fuel injection?

I need a battery for my Durango soon, snd I thought would upgrade the C10. Since I could swap batteries.

Re: Lithium batteries

For a DD just get a good lead acid battery. I buy ford diesel batteries alot since they have a good CC amp for the price. You may need a bigger tray for these. I also use marine battery in substitute. My jeep battery was $160 and the marine was $99. Mod the hold down since it was a 1/4" taller. Either will run FI no problem. Lithium are explosion prone when exposed to water!!!

Re: Lithium batteries

I bought one for my motorcycle. Sure cranks quicker. Has a app to check charging and cranking. A ton lighter. But expensive.

You have to get a lithium charger for the battery. Can’t use regular charger.

Re: Lithium batteries

This means that your alternator is probably overcharging your expensive battery. Not on a bike but on a 4 wheeler.

Re: Lithium batteries

this is the battery I bought for my Motorcycle.

The FAQ's state the battery will work with the existing charging system. so they must have some technology in there somewhere.
