*Wire Wheel For Bench Grinder*

I got this 3/4 H.P. bench grinder from my brother when he passed away years ago and he got it from my dad. It's probably 40 to 50 years old I'd guess. Anyway.....it has a stone on both sides so I thought I would get a wire wheel for it instead of using my wire brush. I quickly found out that a 7" wheel with a 1/2" arbor is not so easy to find. Can't find anything local so I'll have to order whatever I can find.

Re: *Wire Wheel For Bench Grinder*

This is the top-of-the-list tool to be absolutely sure that you are wearing good (well fitting) safety glasses when running it. They are well known for throwing wires randomly. The first time I ever had to have something dug out of my eye by a doctor was from a bench-mounted wire wheel. Annoyingly enough, I was wearing glasses. It bounced off of my eyebrow into the back of the lens and in the eye.
PSA for the day....lol
