Four wheel drive

I heard a loud clunk come from under the truck the other day and I lost my four wheel drive, anything I should check? The drive shaft is still connected. Also I have a transfer case from a 1985 k10. Will this fit in my 1982 k20. Thanks for any help with this problem!

Re: Four wheel drive

I don't know about transfer case, but do you have the GM automatic locking hubs or some form of manual locking hubs?

Re: Four wheel drive

I found and fixed the problem, it was the large pin that holds the spider gears in.
