Are you kidding me!? That is just amazing. My jaw dropped. I loved it in caps, but those rally wheels just made it over the top IMO.

Thanks for sharing that.

Man this thing came out sweet! Thats the one type of 67-72 I dont have (4WD). Build threads like this one get a lot of guys like me in trouble with their wives! Great work that truck is beautiful.

This. The rally's look great, can't go wrong with that ride, it's black for starts. To me the original wheels & caps on that truck makes a BIG difference.

It's blue....super dark though it may be.

I know that this truck did not have this wheel/cap option available from the factory, but it is my favorite of the era. And yep, I got a set of 8 lug skinnies sitting in the basement just itching to cut some grooves under the K20.

Think I mentioned I was color/shade blind. Nothing remarkable, some guys are off the charts

That's a beautiful blue. Those are 71-72 caps if I remember right. Seems I threw my old caps away but they weren't usable. I have an NOS set of stainless & the old wheels. Maybe someday, but running with rallys first. I think those old caps look best with the darker colors.

Damn. That is crazy...but his pics are very good. She looks awesome. We talked to BAT before we listed it on eBay...they didn't seem super interested and we were pretty far apart on the reserve. I hope he does well...but not so well I get my feelings hurt.

Wished I would have bought it from you. It wouldn't be on BAT for sure.

I wish you had too. I would be very happy in general if she wound up with a board member.

Re: 1969 K10 CST Full Restoration

Now that the truck has sold...and I wish the seller and buyer all the best...there are just a couple of things I wanted to briefly say in this build thread. There was a little too much hype in the run down and comments section(in the BAT ad) about the truck for my taste. For example, there aren't a "ton" of NOS parts in this build...just look at this thread. If there was one, I pointed it out. Plenty of builds on here with more. And I didn't represent it otherwise when I sold it. More importantly, Eric (OldYellow) deserves a lion share of the credit for the K10 and the Blazer build.

The pics were awesome and it is what you see...but no more. I was glad when the build link was posted in the comments, I always try to post the truth about the build...even when it hurts. That's all.

Another chapter closed. Now on to the next!

No worries on your end either way, unfortunately (for both sides, occasionally) vehicle and land bids are not legally binding for either party.

I lost a deal on a motorcycle after I went through the "buy-it-now" process only for the dealership to call me the next day and say (very poorly paraphrased) "too bad, we're selling it to someone who's in the dealership right now."

Looked into it and sure enough, in ebay's terms (and apparently due to varying laws state-to-state) they can't (or won't) make vehicle or land auctions legally binding the way all other auctions are.

That truck is so nice. I would have such a hard time selling that truck. I know it's more fun building it than driving it but that final result is stunning.

The next owner will be the 6th (that I know of) since the restoration. Logged a little over 130 miles in that time.
