Drivers Door Latch Mechanism

My driver's door can't be locked because the rotating part of the latch that is inside the door is way slopped out. The pivot pin that the latch wheel rotates on is very sloppy
Does the window glass have to come out to change the
mechanism? And also LMC only lists the Right door parts.
Where can I buy a replacement for the Left door?

Re: Drivers Door Latch Mechanism

Also, is it necessary to remove all of the Window parts to change the latch?

No. Nothing in the window mechanism needs to be removed to replace a door latch.

I think you are looking at the wrong page LMC does in fact list parts for the driver's door. I think you are looking at the rear door components for a Suburban

Could be. It's confusing viewing online. Used to be a lot easier with a Catalog in hand. I suppose I should just call them.
Thanks.

It looked like it could come out with the window and wing in place. I watched a video on disassembling a door and they removed the latch last because it's probably easier.
