Sunburnt Orange trucks or K5's

Wife and I are close on picking a color for the K5 build

Would like some real life pics of some trucks or K5's in a Sunburnt or Sunset Orange colors - I tend to prefer the brighter side and she prefers the darker burnt orange.....

Thanks guys

No replies yet, so I guess I will throw out my 2 cents.

Hugger Orange and stay period correct. Looks good on the 69-72s.

Not sure about this, but I had a square body short bed back in the day....
Grecian Bronze. Many did not like my truck, but I liked it and it was different, but not sure how a 69 to 72 would look.....

You simply cannot go wrong on the hugger orange in my opinion. You are correct in finding a similar one with the color you are thinking of. I have seen many vehicles with a color change to a non-factory color, and many simply never look right. Good luck with your search for the right color for you.

do a search for:

Hugger Orange / Red Orange /Carousel Red - that may be a good option

I like the hugger orange however she specifically stated " not Dukes of Hazard Orange" - she loves the blonde hair of Bo jsut not the color .... so we are trying to settle on a burnt orangish red....

Been looking at the 2015 Chevy Sunset Orange but want to see something other than photos from car dealers

Sounds like you would be leaning towards the redder side of orange like hugger orange to stay away from the General Lee look.

Me, personally, I love the color of this Blazer. Don't care for the wheels but the color I do like.

I had a 72 K/5 in Medium Bronze like the post before this. It really was a beautiful color in person. I like the regular orange also myself but the bronze may be a good compromise color for you. It’s an original color too.

Re: Sunburnt Orange trucks or K5's

Here's my '68 C/10 Stepside, in 516 Orange. After 49 years in Arizona solar radiation, the original paint sure is ''sunburnt''.
The Orange color 516, was called Omaha Orange in prior years, and Tangerine and Sunburst in later years. I would love a Blazer in this color, but the Jimmy I found was a medium metallic blue w/ a 350 and SM465, so I jumped on it.
