Re: Pics of GMC only

It's a start to my 69 swb GMC pickup. Just picked up the frame Saturday and set the doghouse on to look at the fit. Frame needs a little work. Has a couple very rusty spots that I will need to fix.

I remember when you first posted this truck, I was amazed. I had no idea this could be done. Love it.

Re: Pics of GMC only

My '72 GMC 4x4. Originally purchased by my grandparents, handed down to my dad, and then to me. Running again for the first time in over a decade. Original 307 with new carburetor runs like a champ. 4" lift, moved gas tank under bed, side exhaust, power steering, and wheels with 33" tires. Much more to come.

Re: Pics of GMC only

This is my 71, took over twenty years to get original owner to part with it. One day GMC's will be appreciated for what they are, wich is the upscale pickup people wanted who had the cash to go to the Cadillac/GMC dealer. C10's are a dime a dozen, GMC's are quite rare in certain parts of the US because a lot got converted to Chevys for some crazy reason. When ever mine is out people always stop to comment about the one grandpa had. It was bought new along with another one by our local furniture store in LaGrande, Globe Furniture, still in business today, Lynch Cadillas Pontiac GMC the dealership who sold it new was situated right across the street. I enjoy it more every time I drive it...thanks for letting me ramble guys...

Re: Pics of GMC only

I have since removed the bug shield, added the hood emblems, sand blasted the billet insert and painted them black and had a buddy of pine pinstripe a little moustache on for me. I like the way it looks now more so than before.
