1968 crew cab GMC

Anyone know what this thing is worth.

I think these were conversions by the alton company, but not certain. It has the normal rust issues with cab corners, rocker panels, lower door skins, floors and minor rust over the windshield, and the front lip of the hood. It has a rebuilt 350 30 over and a 4 speed trans with the granny gear.everything works. it runs and drives, gauges, wipers, lights, and original radio all work. It will need a full restore, but considering this is easier then modifying one on your own i figured its worth some amount of money. let me know what you think

Re: 1968 crew cab GMC

sorry i dont have any info on the value of it.
but I would love too see that put back on the road there are sooo many people out there that dont even know they even made such a critter.
i must say though that one seems strange with the later trim and paint scheme although I like it

I agree. these were plain jane trucks. I assumed someone added the trim, but i know anyone could order these so maybe it was ordered with the trim, but judging by the old paint lines most likely not.

Yes. When they made these they cut down the bed on them or at least some of them. I have seen pictures of some with the bed cut almost to the front lip of the wheel opening.

Re: 1968 crew cab GMC

I have owned one of these trucks.

If the rockers and supports are real rusty i would say the value is only about $1500

How is the bedfloor? Is it wood or cut down steel?

Re: 1968 crew cab GMC

I have never seen a GMC version of these so I would say it's rare. I would also say that I would add it to my collection but I don't have a place to put it right now....but that hasn't stopped me yet
I think its worth what we talked about on the phone....now go get it.

What happened? Curiosity's killin' me.. Did you look/buy? I'm over near Titusville, not farm from E.Orlando. I surely don't need another project bit it is an interestingly rare truck. Just me but I always thought that triangle filler space between the doors is AWFULLY UGLY.
