A note about the date on the bottom of Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. The date stamped on the base is not a production date. It is a copyright date for that casting. In most cases, the copyright date is one year before the casting's first release, but sometimes the copyright and original release year match up.
Thanks for the link. That's a real interesting site. I know nothing about collecting or how to identify what I have. But it seems like I'm going Hot Wheels crazy everytime I go to the store. I've seen some of those on the treasure hunt page and now I want them.
