400/205

Looking for a pic of a T400 to 205 adapter. Found one but is not very clear.
Also, does anyone know if GM used more than one style adapter for this setup?
I need one for my caddy 500 swap. Plan on a 500/400/205/14bolt/D60 set up.

what is the bolt pattern on the rear of the tranny? is it four bolts in a 'square' pattern as is the TH350? I don't know what you are starting with, but have included a picture w/ the 350 adapter and the 465 adapter. I would say count the number of splines on the sleeve if its still in the adapter or the number of splines on teh input shaft of the transfer case if it was still connected. Last option is if it doesn't look like one of the two in the picture it must be the adapter for the TH400.

did they put th400 with small blocks in the 4x4's?

Found one on ebay if you're interested, hopefully the link works. no reserve on it, bids at $125 w/ 2 days left. Says its a 'New' part-worth high $200's from what I've read.

You can buy them new for about $200. Also, if you want to convert a non TH400 version NP205, the new input gear and bearing are about $200 also (requires case machining).
