1970 gmc c10 driver

I bought a 70 gmc over a week ago.I decided to build it to drive.it’s in better shape then I first thought the rockers and cab corners are solid the floor has some surface rust but no holes.it’s got a 350 with a 350 trans runs and drives.didn’t have any brakes.still has drums on the front gonna swap over to disk.the front end is so wore out I can move the control arms side to side.so gonna get all new parts up front.

I was having some trouble loading pictures but got it to work now.last weekend I decided to clean up the cab and I used a pressure washer probably wasn’t a good idea to get everything in the cab wet.

Wiring is a complete mess so many Splices in it sealed with tape and a main feed wire from the battery with a smaller gauge wire I don’t see how this truck never caught on fire.the wheels on the truck are 16x8 rally’s which don’t even fit they rub the bed.and someone took a Grinder to the upper ball joints to get them to fit and they still rub.

Alright so most of the parts are in now for the front end as I started pulling it apart today and dang this truck is dirty made a big mess getting rid of all the old junk on the truck.tomorrow I’m going to pressure wash the old control arms and paint them and install the new clean parts.for the disk brake swap I’m using 73-87 spindles ball joints tie rods and center link and new springs.I got to figure out how to run the front brake lines.

I’m curious to see what’s in the box’s that say, cat rolls arm, on them. Likely the shafts.

Yes they are the shafts they look a little different but should work fine

So over the last few weeks I’ve done done a good bit of work to the truck.pulled the bed apart to replace the bed floor and install new brake lines.wound up pulling the cab off today.i decided to pull the motor and trans and clean and paint the frame.the new brake lines should be pretty eazy going in now

My truck's wiring harness was exactly the same way. 50 years of hacking and novice add-ons making it a horrendous mess. I just ordered a new wiring harness to make things easier. I will have a few electrical additions, but I will add an additional fuse block that is hidden for those things.
