WTB Three on the tree linkage...

I know! kind of a bass ackward situation but my buddy wants to deconvert from his pretty poor floor shifter back to the column. Have the column and transmission, just need the linkage between them. Any help is appreciated.

I have some but will be a week or so before I can get to them you can have them just pay for shipping or if you are in the Charlotte area I will meet you somewhere.

Re: WTB Three on the tree linkage...

Would there be a difference with the linkage for straight 6 or V8 or are the same.

Re: WTB Three on the tree linkage...

I am not sure about the V-8/I6 thing.... excellent question. This truck is a 2wd. Let me know what you have and how much you need for it. Thank you for your responses.

Re: WTB Three on the tree linkage...

I have a whole linkage assembly in my parts tub outside from a 72 c10 with 350. I need to look and see what parts I'd need to ship as I don't remember what all goes with the linkage but I'd be happy to sell them and i know it is complete. Not sure what a fair price would be? How does $60+ shipping cost sound?

Re: WTB Three on the tree linkage...

Is it a 6 or V8 ? The column is located in the same place for either , The 6 sits 3" back compaired to a V8 in the stock position. If a V8 was installed in the 6 location the same 6 rods would be used.

so the shift rods would be different stock 6 vs stock position V8

Post a picture of the engine mount location on the frame and a picture of the trans shifter arms / left side

What year is the truck and does the vin start with CE or CS ?

When asking about parts Always add year and model , V8 or 6 and post pictures . Otherwise everyone is just guessing what you have and need .

Re: WTB Three on the tree linkage...

It is a '67 C-10 with a stock 6 cylinder. I do not currently have access to the truck to take photos.. I appreciate the advice.

Re: WTB Three on the tree linkage...

To help your search you’ll need 1963-1968 six cylinder rods.
Transmission changed to full synchro style in 1969 and the rods connect to the transmission differently.
