Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Amazing attention to detail from bumper to bumper. Dude you are an artist and this truck is a work of art. I had decided on a classic blue and white two tone for my truck, but after looking at your truck I'm reconsidering . Love the single color and the fact that you only used the bottom trim. Looks really cool. Great job!

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Very nice build! I was wondering how much did you lower the front and rear?

Sorry CC69Rat......I've gotten bad at looking at my old build page! Late (wider) rearend housing and I'm not exactly sure on drop, but it's gotta be between 6" and 7".

I got mine from Mark (fuelcellguy) also...been about 5 years. Not sure what he is up to now, his website is no longer active either.

FuelCellGuy.com

Doesn't look like he posts much anymore, but shows he still frequents the site.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Build Thread

Jim, did you get your front shocks installed. I am curious as to what you found out regarding if they bottom out with bump stops. For my truck I ordered the stock height front Ridetech HQ shocks. I have a 1" drop coil spring up front, but have relocated my upper shock bracket to the top of the frame rail, which is about a 1.5" difference from the stock upper shock mount hole in the frame. Even with my bump stops in, the shock is still not long enough and would be supporting the weight of the suspension if jacking the front end up and leaving the shocks attached. I am curious if yours is the same way? My thought is that the shock will need to have one of the bolts removed (upper or lower) before jacking the tires off the ground.
