Need more 12v power in cab
Every time I turn around I need more switched and non switched power in cab.
Have a LS with its needs, box to run speedo, DBY cruise control, want variable wipers, have need of ardino, etc. Right now I don't have radio powered because it needs both switched and non switched power and I am afraid I'll overload the existing power from the harness plus the y'ed wires are scarry. I been trying to find an aux fuse panel with relay to provide switched and non switched power with a home run from battery. I found one but it had wires from the fuses instead of spade terminals. Has anyone found a good solution? Thanks |

I like the Blue Sea fuse blocks. I installed one of the 12 circuit versions but now wish I had gone with this that has two banks, one each for switched 12V and one for constant 12V. 12 circuits was more than I needed for just switched power and I wound up adding a second Blue Sea block to handle the items I wanted always on. I particularly like the integrated negative buss. To manage the switched vs unswitched power I used this Bussmann Relay. I triggered the relay with a signal from the OEM fuse block. I do hope somebody chimes in with a better, perhaps more integrated solution - mine works, but takes up considerable space under the glove box and isn't terribly easy to access.

Jim here is a thread that should help you out. It details the whole electrical system in our trucks and shows a photo by Andy4639 that shows an auxiliary fuse box later in the thread.
I thought he might chime in by now but he hasn't yet. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=741245
