Mounting BBC in a 67

Attachment 2085024Trying to see how far back to mount this engine wanting to know if anyone who has done a swap to BBC did the front steering linkage clear in front of the oil pan? See in this picture the oil pan is above the steering linkage but I'm thinking it needs to move back a few more inches. When I go back the nice tall valve covers I bought interfere with the firewall I might need some that are rounded off in the corners more like a factory valve cover is these are more or less very big tall covers look really cool.
