Top or Bottom?

I recently tried to install my front windshield which I have done before with success, however this time I broke it while installing. For those of you that have done it do you start at the top or bottom?

I’ve always started at the bottom

Re: Top or Bottom?

I started bottom as well, used lots of tire lube on the rubber, rope trick, masking tape, and glass pry bar tool thingys..
Also used 2 ratchet straps around windshield and frame, top & bottom.
Place long 2x4 with cushion between wood and glass. It helped keep constant pressure on the glass to frame.
I don't have any pics but found this on the inter web.

Hmm ratchet straps. Never even considered that for doing one alone. Did it go smoothly?

There were two of us, lots of patience & lube, I left the straps on for a few days also, kept whacking with full hand in various spots to help seat the rubber/glass.
I also had the metal trim which posed more of a hassle, but very satisfying when done.
Watch some YouTube vids too lol.

Good Luck!!
