Original Lighters

Went to install the lighter in a 71 C10 Deluxe I'm restoring, when I noticed the one I pulled off this truck reads Casco 78. I don't if that's for year or something else.

Pulled this black "deluxe" one off my 72 Super, which reads Casco 63. The Super's interior has no business with a lighter this nice never mind one that works. I'm leaning to swap them, the black one looks right to me as well.

Curious about which is original say for the 71 I'm building. I think there were others too, one solid black. Seeking an education on original lighters I guess.

Thanks

Re: Original Lighters

Thank you. That's why I bought the 72, for the cig lighter

Really I got to say, as rough as the 72 is, it's ironic how often it comes through for my rebuild. I should have known it was special when the issued license plate read "400", which wasn't on purpose

That Casco 63 is about 2.5 x heavier than the 78. Matches the dials.

Re: Original Lighters

Some bling. Tomorrow is ignition day and get to wrapping up the wiring. Just need bed harnesses yet, no big, they were ordered in Jan. They threw me a bone last week with the cab's kickdown harness, ordered Jan. as well

Turns out the 78 lighter doesn't work another perfect swap with the C20, most of the cab in it doesn't work or almost close. I just need it to drive on sunny days.
