Light Bulb Upgrade and a Puzzle -----
Replacing my turn signal housings and while I am at it (1999 Silverado) might as well upgrade the bulbs for headlights and turn signals. Want to just stay "stock" but want to go brighter if I can. Are HID better than halogen?
Where did you guys buy your bulbs? Would be nice to find a set that includes both. Probably replace rear bulbs as well. Now the puzzle. When I put my truck into reverse. the R turn signal on my dash lights up and the R back running light does the same and no back up lights come on??? Replaced the rear junction box and that did not help. Hoping against hope that replacing all the bulbs will somehow give me a miracle. Any help greatly appreciated!! |

Check the home page for the electrical forum where you started your post. There is a thread on there about HID lights that is very informative.
It sounds like you may have crossed some wires on your turn signal housings.

Replace your Turn Signal Switch Assembly.
Does the HID system require a ballast?
