Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

NAPA has these exact mirrors available. The only difference is something with the mounting of the mirror to the arms. It’s really minor and fine if you’re not doing a restoration. Someone else will probably pipe in with the part number.

What exactly are you looking for? If It's only the glass, your local glass store may be able to help. What year is your truck? Are you sure your mirrors are original GM?

Well i would like to just replace the glass and rubber seal but the inside mounting plate is rusted away and only 2 screws are holding it together. Looks like i may aswell get new mirrors. Build sheet and glove box sticker show "camper mirrors" im assuming they are the original. And its a 71

Can you post a picture of the back side of the mirrors showing the rivets? What option code does the build sheet show? I ask because the "camper mirrors" have more extensive mounting brackets than yours.

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

That is not a 69-72 mirror nor is it a camper style mirror.. It appears to be from a square body truck. I think that design was first used starting in the mid to late 70s or early 80s. Here are a couple threads about mirrors with pics.

Hmm, thats unfortunate. Well i wont be able to mount the correct mirrors as the holes wont be correct. Will the dg4 mirrors work or will i have to just find replacement mirrors of what i have? Thanks.

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

Do you have any junkyards in your area that would have any square body (73-87) trucks? If not, I've been thinking of hitting my favorite junkyard, and this would provide an excuse if you can provide dimensions between the mounting holes on the bases. You can also browse the for sale board for 73-87 trucks.

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

I'll watch those classifieds. None of my local yards have that old of vehicles unfortunately. I will have to measure the holes tomorrow. Thanks.

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

Are you saying these have not been mounted on your truck or are you looking for correct mirrors? What holes are on your doors?

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

These were the mirrors already mounted on the truck when i got it 10 years ago. Truck is currently being painted and i drilled the new doors for these mirrors thinking they were original.

... And a pic of a DF2 which would be correct for your truck.

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

That does look correct. I'll just stick with the same mirrors or whatever other ones can mount in the existing holes lol. I appreciate the help.

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

Yes the mirrors are incorrect and are '73-ups, but the mirrors heads are our only concern here. Those took the same glass from '69 up through the '98 style. Yours are actually below eyeline mirrors, not camper mirrors, but both take the same glass. I have the camper/towing mirrors on my '95 Suburban that take the same glass and gasket. There were multiple aftermarket mirrors using that same standardized mirror size. Your options are plentiful

Re: 3 arm camper mirrors

So the measurements i got are 16" hole to hole from the bottom arms and 10" from one bottom to the top hole. Replacements ive found are all 10" across the bottom.
