Cool Project orange 468 bigblock 1970 gmc to 1972 chevy

I have been around here for several years and been collecting parts for this build. i bought a 1970 gmc short wide non a/c truck that was completely frame on restored in 2001 but they restored it putting in a 403 olds engine in the thing. they put in a 73-80 disc brake crossmember. a 1972 3.08 open 5 hole rear end. the grille was really fadded. i bought super slick 72 chevy front to replace the gmc front with. the clear coat is starting to peel on the hood, doors and roof. it has a aftermarket plain tailgate that is bent and dont fit or open very well.i will be changing it out with super nice chevy gate. puting in a 468 roller motor, turbo 400, 12 bolt 3.73 posi, rear disc, vintage air also adding a factory tilt wheel that i hoarded up over 20 years ago.

Sounds like it's going to be a good build, looks like a good starting point. I'll have to keep my eye on this build.

I got in my hood hinges today. they are powder coated in almost chrome. they really do look like they are chrome plated.

That is a super clean front clip and tailgate you have. It's gonna be a killer truck when you're finished. In my eyes, a big block and a 67-72 swb is where its at!
