Greetings from a new member

Hello everyone, my name is Brenden. I will be posting pictures and asking questions during my restoration and for general maintenance information about my truck, a 1980 Chevrolet K30 Silverado Dully.

Re: Greetings from a new member

Thanks! I fell in love with these trucks when a friend introduced me to them.

Re: Greetings from a new member

Welcome aboard. You will find yourself checking this forum all the time - it becomes an addiction. Someone here always has an answer for your problems or can point you in the right direction.

It is interesting to see what other people are doing with their old squares, from lifts to drops to stock restorations to resto-mods. I have had old squares for the past 34 years and have always kept one around as a beater for hauling/towing etc.

I had a dump conversion done on my 83 454 C20 for a big landscape project and it still comes in handy, but that will be the extend of my mods.

Welcome, that's a very cool truck you have! Nice colors and options too. Do you have a pic of the SPID, the option sticker on the inside of the glove box door?

Re: Greetings from a new member

I do indeed have a picture of my SPID somewhere, but not on my phone. I can get a picture of it on by today.

Re: Greetings from a new member

I forgot to reply to you earlier, Tusconjwt. I find your post incredibly true. Even if I didn't post anything, I'd always check all my favorite fourms daily. I also agree that it's fun to have these ol' clunkers around for work. They never die. (But they're always thirsty!)

Here it is. The only thing that has been replaced is the engine. It now has a 454.

Re: Greetings from a new member

This is the set of original documents that came with the truck. Any that I'm missing?

(Maintenance schedule, BFGoodrich warranty sheet, owner's manual, warranty sheet, and inspection slip)
