Pressure washer

So a couple of weeks ago I bought my first 2800 psi gas powered pressure washer and it works well. BUT the wand hose is really stiff and hard to roll up. Is this typical? Any softer hose options?

Re: Pressure washer

Yes, it's typical. The "no-kink" hoses aren't any easier. 2800 PSI is a lot of pressure to contain, so the hoses have pretty stiff walls.

Same here on the hose, just a side note when I start the engine on mine I always pull the trigger to get a stream of water going,it seems to help when pulling the engine over, kinda like a decompessor

Re: Pressure washer

I bought a Coleman 3200 PSI for cheap years ago because the frame had been bent. It's still working well for me. For occasional use I don't think there's too much difference between them.

Troy bilt 2800 psi From Loews about 5 years ago . I bought it on sale for $149.99 and it's worked perfect . I Always run the same mixed fuel I use in my Echo weed eater / Echo chain saws and I have a bare bones Murray push mower that's seen it's fair share of hard use after 9 years of being stored outside under the deck rain / snow / with no special care at all it still starts and runs perfect the deck has been replaced twice and that 6.5hp engine just keeps going , It's the standing joke around here every year Will it keep going ?

Re: Pressure washer

I did same thing. Got my Troy Bilt 3000 on sale at Lowes back in late 2005 or early 2006. No issues with it in all these years. Run it dry and only use non-ethanol gas.

When you say, "Run it dry," I think you're saying run out the fuel before storing it. You definitely don't want to run it with the pump dry. In fact, I pull the trigger and make sure I've purged most of the air from the hose before I start mine.

Correct, run the tank dry. Definitely don't run it without water connected and flowing thru it.
