rookie at this web thing

jwsteele but my friends call me iron. Ha any way been trying to get on line and all of a sudden here i am. I just am trying to figure out what LOL means and what some of the other stuff that I have been seeing. what do I do?

welcome to the interweb, it can be a great addiction. When I first got on-line, way back in the mid '90's I was quite confused too. I stumbled into this chat room, and everytime I typed something everyone would respond LOL.. Somewhere I thought I heard LOL meant "Looser On Line". I thought "What a bunch of Rude arrogant Pr**ks". Anyways welcome from the Great white North.
