It's all air now!

Well, sort of. I can't put air in it for 48 hours according to the profesional grade thread sealer I used on it. But I got the rear bags in and did a lot less than I thought I was going to do.

After looking at it, it was going to be too low in the back with just the bag. I had a set of cups that came with the box 'o crap I got on ebay, so I decided to use them for now. I didn't notch the frame because I have like 2" when fully aired out befor I hit. With the cups and Slam Specialties bags, the rear is 5 1/2" from frame to trailing arm at 0 air. Here she is stock:

and flat:

Phase 2 will be a pair of Viair 380's, cut front cups, notched frame, straight bags in the rear, and tubular A-arms for the uppers. For now I just need to get it back on the road by the end of the year and I've gone way over budget for this year.

Re: It's all air now!

I will also need to have the exhaust done because my ghetto cherry bombs are about 2" off the ground aired out.

I guess those cherrybombs blew the leaves off the tree across the street in your neighbors yard. Your truck looks good lowered.

Re: It's all air now!

Well, when I parked it and ordered all my parts, it was something like September. I still have a lot of little things to do, but at least it's off the jack stands.

Re: It's all air now!

awesome work. I like your idea of using the cups in the rear until you get the front done.

Re: It's all air now!

Thanks.

With the cups in the back, it's about even when you look at the wheel well to tire ratio. My goal is to keep the lowered stance even, but not so low that I'm laid out (but the final product will be about 3" lower in both the front and rear).

As much as I would love to build a rig that lays out, it's not practicle for what I put my truck through.
