Tilt column wiring

I am installing a floor shift tilt column from a motor home into my 65. The wiring from the turn signal switch was cut so I bought a new switch. The half moon connector on the new switch is different from the 65’s switch (the 65 has 2 small half moon connectors). The colors are also different, 7 wires in the original harness from the 65 and 8 wires in the new switch. I am assuming the extra wire is for the hazard switch and the light/wire harness was removed from the switch since I’m using a floor shift column. I know I will have to cut the terminals off the new harness and crimp on the correct packard 56 style terminals onto the two half moons. I’m just not sure where they need to go in the connectors.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Tilt column wiring

Just FYI, If you don't get any help here we can move it to the electrical section.

Re: Tilt column wiring

What I did was cut the 8 prong plug from the donor truck I got my column out of and cut the plugs from my old turn signal wiring and made a junction plug. I think there is an aftermarket one out there also.

Something like this, but you can see the other connector is straight so this would not work. https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thank you, that might actually work. I think I have a flat plug and could re-pin the wires to fit into the flat connector, then I would have hazards too
