Jack stand placement
I know this is trivial. Does anyone see issues with having jack stand placed at the very front of the frame rail? I used to always put them directly under the firewall, but never liked the way the front end sagged. Any input would great, thank you.

I've always put the stands under the lower control arm. Weight is on the suspension

A member on the board made these in picture below.
Great Idea  Here is a set that could be purchased (Link Below). They are 5 lug Universal 5-slot pattern fits 5 x 4 1/2 through 5 x 5 wheel stud patterns. Set of two, requires 2 Auto Dolly platforms (sold separately). Use them on just one end of the car or buy 2 sets to cover all four corners. I always place them under the axles if that's an option. Otherwise I place them on the frame as close as possible to the axles. If the rear of the truck can't move, I don't see a problem with where you have them.

I usually put them on the frame behind the front suspension. The same place the front arms of a 2 post lift would go.

I've had stands further forward than the picture in the OP many times, drivetrain no body. But I support the engine crossmember at the same time. I don't see why there would be unnecessary strain on the frame rails so long as it's a good spot & not too far forward.

I'm not sure there's an issue putting the stands as shown in post one. I usually put them inside the drums on a diff, and under the shock mounts on the LCA, or as near to the tire frame load as practical, if any of that makes sense...

Depends on what I am working on. But mostly I use the rear axle or front cross member. I don't like to use the front control arms as I have had a few occasions where they slipped some when putting the truck weight on them.
