Hot in MN

So it's a bit hot temp wise in MN the last few days.
Hard to believe it was too hot to fish. We made due by cruising the lake and stopped at local lake bar for a cold one.

Been very hot with no end in sight yet. Hard to believe we had a hard frost only a couple weeks ago.

Re: Hot in MN

While you folks in the northern states are dealing with hot temps, down here we are dealing with rain, rain and more rain. Comfortable enough temps but day after day of rain, flooding, washouts.

Les. That looks like my shoe and leg. Man, I could so be there.

Re: Hot in MN

Yesterday it was in the mid 90's and no wind to speak of. We tried to catch a few crappies for dinner but it was just too hot.

Re: Hot in MN

It’s been upper 90s and lows in the 70s here for several days.

I wanted to remove the wasp nest under the seat of my front porch rocking chair and hoping for some cooler morning temps before I dig into that.

Re: Hot in MN

It's hot and I get irritable. I'd like to go slap every person that was whining about how cool it had been staying. OMG, hadn't seen 80 yet and it was MAY!! Sheesh!
Oh yeah, I forgot to add all these in. Here you go (I'd do more but it's too freakin' hot)

Funny Pete, you probably moved up there thinking you were at least partially leaving the heat behind. It’s been the same down here for a couple weeks now. I imagine you’ve got a bit more humidity than me though.(sorta but sorta not jealous in that regard)

Re: Hot in MN

Tyler it puts a spring in my step. I over heard grumbling from others about swapping this for 40 degree temps. Not me. I’ll jump in a lake this weekend after the Pepin County annual Dairy Breakfast

Ken that's funny.

Ain't that the truth about the rain. I made sure to get my garden in the ground by March 24th and it was doing great until about 3 weeks ago. Several of my tomato plants are done for because of too much rain. I want to replant but what's the point, the ground is so saturated. I try not to complain too about the rain because I know it could easily be hot and dry here as it usually is.

Re: Hot in MN

I’ll take some of that rain. Send it my way. We are still stupid dry as usual for the last several years combined.

Re: Hot in MN

It's been nice here lately. But the water level on the lake is way down. I'm seeing a lot more dirt where I used to see water.
