Took the leap converted to 134a

Even though I have plenty of r12 I decided to retrofit the 85 . Did this because it had a leak so I figured I might as well since it was apart. So far so good 92 today and it was nice and cold in the truck on the way home . Only thing I noticed was I was getting warm air out the floor vent not hot but felt like ambient outside air. Only happened in motion not stopped.

Re: Took the leap converted to 134a

I just had the original retrofitted to accept 134. It's been nice and cold even in the 90 degree temps we've been having

I too converted to R-134a even though i have a supply of R-12 and R-406a. I used POE oil in the event I wasn't happy with the result and could go back to R-12. I happy with the switch.
