Flashlight?

I have a decent flashlight but I wish it had a wider beam with more light. Mine does have an adjustable LED beam, but just doesnt put out the light I'm looking for. I've looked at a lot of lights online, but what I would really like is some real world info from someone that actually has a flashlight they really love ... That's you guys btw =)

My nephew gave me this one last year and it is really handy

It is led bright ,,It sits up ,,it has a magnet.. it has a clip for you to clip on your shirt ,,Or?.. It glows in the dark after you shut it off so you can find it easily ,,and it about 9 inches long

Re: Flashlight?

I have a couple lights I like. They are both rechargeable. The nebo is handy (it’s cheaper on e bay or Amazon)

This spotlight I can light up a road sign 1/4 mile away. It’s kind of spendy but youzer is it bright!

Those Nebo Slydes are real nice. Switch might be a bit overly sensitive but its the one that I'm always looking for and using. Takes a bit to charge (overnight) but puts out a real nice light. Lasts quite a while on a charge too. Twist to broaden or narrow the beam. Slide open for a good work light. Good strong magnet too.

At work we use the Streamlight pen lights. Bought a few for home, the truck and the side job van. Not as adjustable as the Nebo but for a AAA flashlight it puts out a bunch of light and very compact.

Re: Flashlight?

Every year I get them small flashlights for Christmas,,and they are so cheap that I just use them up and toss them . like the ones from Harbor Freight ,,they work good .. with the batteries they come with ..

This year for my birthday I got this light that extends to 22 inches and bends at the end for seeing in small closed areas. like down inside the motor bay ..

It starts out at the length of the box it comes in,, this flashlight takes the LR44 batteries

I know Mark that you are probably looking for a larger flash light ,, but I bring this one up because of how it bends and stretches out and it is Led and shines up a pretty big area..

Re: Flashlight?

My luck with the China stuff is they often have bright light and some neat features but tend to be dead when you try to use them a couple years after purchase.

All of my many years old Maglights are still working. The two cell LED versions are pretty bright.

I have found variations on these to be useful: https://www.energizer.com/lighting/headlights#vhduh
Not the brightest but frees a hand up when working on something and you need light pointed "there". The ones with red light come in handy when getting settled in a deer blind before sunup.

Re: Flashlight?

My wife bought me this personalized Maglight some years ago. I am very fond of it. She also bought a 6 pack of those Bell and Howell lights that have impressive output from that small package and small batteries.

Re: Flashlight?

Stream light stinger or any of the ALS (advanced lighting soloutions) offerings, we have a few different models of the ALS lights and they are absolutely outstanding, magnet base, tough, rechargeable, adjustable lumen, glow in the dark when you shut them off to find it, etc. We use them everyday in a fleet repair setting at a water utility and the other departments are always trying to take them.

Re: Flashlight?

Right now I have a couple of the old school yellow spot style. Regular old bulbs and powered by the big boxy battery. Dullsville for lighting.

I also have a few of the smaller rechargeables, and a very small one that has about a 8 inch bendy arm with a magnet on the end. Worked great when I was working on copiers and printers.

I'm liking that streamlight hand held spotlight that chevyboy posted up.

As far as matches go, somehow I ended up with some one in the family's matchbook collection. All are still full and pretty old. Open book, strike a match, explodes like a cigar in a bugs bunny cartoon. Looking for Lake Isabella on the map haha!
