in the first pic the plate looks like JEK 17 so I dont think its reversed

I own the 40 Ford street rod, the 69 Mach1 and my 56 truck. All big blocks and the Mach1 is a number matching 428CJ, 4spd. I'm very fortunate.

My buddy had a 63 with a slant 6 He did tile work and swapped some work from a guy that had inherited it from his mom. It was clean as Kleenex. Really low mileage car. Always garaged.It was fun to cruise around in it even with the 6 banger. He regretted selling it as well.

My 66 SS owned since 84 . Have the original motor and complete drive train . It's getting a new motor but ran into a few hiccups with the build . Been going back and forth with the builder. Getting lots of valve train noise roller cam and the engine was broke in on a dyno .
