I want to use the stock shifter with a Turbo350 transmission. Where can I get an indicator plate that will fit the shifter but have the 350 gear sequence ? I have seen an ad for a Danchuk indicator like this but it’s for a Chevy car. I don’t believe that they are the same size, but not sure. Does anyone know for sure ?

i used PRNDL from IDIDIT but i have a van column in 58truk
not sure your gonna get one small enough to go on a stock column with out fabricobling something together
double side tape attach the PRNDL and pointer

Sorry, I should have said it’s a 57 GMC. Much different looking thing.

You would have to decide if you needed two or three pieces but a 71/72 non tilt dial and housing should be adaptable. https://www.classicparts.com/Dash-Pa...oducts/268/3/0

This shot of the one in my 71 is a bit fuzzy but will give you an idea of what it looks like.

that's a hydromatic shifter, i would think it is very easy to reuse with a th350
an email to danchuk would tell if it's the same as car
3d printed or lexan with paint would be simple. not sure you'll find an off the shelf item

I had my local graphics shop ( with a laser engraving machine) make one up for me, but my shifter is a different style. I did the artwork in Adobe Illustrator myself, and they charged me about $20 to print/engrave it. Yours is so simple, they will probably be able to do the artwork very quickly.
If you take your lens to your local shop, they can probably make that up for you pretty easily.
May only advice is to make a paper template the right shape, that has the numbers/letters in exactly the right positions. Put it into your shifter housing and go through the gears, and make adjustments until you have it just right. Then take that to them with the original.
I'll bet mine got adjusted at least a dozen times before I got it right, but the final product is right.
Here is a picture of my original next to the "printed" one. Pretty darn close!

uncle brad beat me to it, make the new part from lexan and then etch it or engrave it or beadblast or whatever. even black decal material with cutouts for the letters would work, if backlit use an LED so it doesn't overheat.

Make a new plastic piece and then find someone who has a Cricut or similar machine and cut out adhesive vinyl lettering.

I'm thinking that 57 Tailgater gave the correct answer. Make the piece you need and replace the one that is in there with it.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
