54 chev 2T complete and a 53 GMC 1/2T is in pieces. They are both really solid, I'll start a build page when I start them.

Re: 1950? S-10 tdi

Have you thought about getting an 8 or 9 foot bed and making a pickup out of the 2 ton? I think it would look cool.

Those big fellows are all over the place around my part of ID. Most are just sitting there in pastures not being used at all. Most are a little newer than this one though. If I had to guess, late 50's era.

Ya fairly rare in my parts, this one is from Manitoba next province west of me, but is about a 22hr drive one way. So I'm glad someone else brought it here, I can drive to Florida faster lol.

Which transmission did you use? 700R4? If so how did you adapt the TV cable? Thanks

Yes 700R4, I welded a tab off the gas peddle that had some adjustment to get it fine tuned. Worked very well and simple. Just measure the travel of the TV cable and you will have to figure out how far from the pivot on the gas peddle at WOT to get the full pull. You can see mine cable is on the left of peddle.
