Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Re: Lets see the pics of the "daily drivers"

well been driving my 84 for 4 1/2 yrs now,,almost everyday. used it in my lawn care bussiness. even when gas was almost 3.00 a gallon, i still drove it, and at 6mp it got tight there for awhile, but opec can kiss my azz..
,
i worked her hard sometimes, when in bussiness, i did alot fo clean up jobs to,,have had around 3 tons in it, can and will haul 2 yards of gravels, which i dont do to often, to much weight

this is my 68, which i give up on selling, only put it up for sale to get the ol lady off my back about needing money, which is why i asked 1800.oo for it..

once i can get a motor for it,,it will be my daily summer driver, and when there is no salt on the roads..

Re: Lets see the pics of the "daily drivers"

Heres my daily driver ... she's not as pretty as some of these here but she will be in time.

N2Billet's truck on the home page is exactly what i had in mind for my truck. I think his truck looks amazing.

Re: Lets see the pics of the "daily drivers"

My son drives it to work each day. Only about 14 miles a day. It is out of service right now because the clutch pivot ball broke. Parts are on order I'll have it fixed by next and back on the road. My son enjoys driving this truck and get a lots of coments on it.

Heres mine. Takes me to my play job every day, run errands in it, tow my travel trailer and takes me into the woods hunting.

This has been my play toy for 14 years now. Just got a 67 GMC custom to use as my work horse, once the engine and trans are dropped in. Now my wife can have the 99 Ranger back!

Re: Lets see the pics of the "daily drivers"

of course,...only in town because:
... now that I switched from 3/4 ton commercial tires 32" tall on 16" rims , to
28" tall Continentals' on 17" Weld Coneheads, I need to replace the ring& pinion with a taller ratio. I'm runnin a Eaton 10 bolt.. Man it tough to even go 40 now....,,
regardless , It's neat to see what everyone drives & where their located !!

save up, save up, spend more....

Re: Lets see the pics of the "daily drivers"

I drive it 2-3 days a week when im not in a hurry and its not raining. 5.3 and 700r4 with 3.73 should make it a really nice daily driver.

This is me in the summer driving my 1967 truck, which came with a special option. Heater ONLY. (Hence the lack of appropriate clothing)

Re: Lets see the pics of the "daily drivers"

Heres mine, been a dd for about 4 months. Even though the motor is about ready to go (previous owner didn't know the difference between 2 q. and 5 q of oil) it still gets around until a new motor is built for it!

Here is my previous dd, would trust it to go anywhere. Sold it for the truck though, what can I say!! The truck just caught my eye!

I can assure you this baby gets 100-150 miles per week on her. It was built to be driven. Do I "work" it anymore? Absolutely not, she's retired. I have my Z71 to haul stuff.

Trucks don't have to look like **** to be DD's

Click the little paper clip when you post, browse to that directory/picture and upload it.

Then, after it uploads the attachment, click the little down arrow by the paper clip and attach it.
