1999 Suburban 16" Rims - 8" wide?

Been awhile since I've posted! Tire time. I'm currently running stock steelies with 235/85-16 and I'm thinking of going with wider steelies/tires. These are off a 1999 Suburban 3/4-ton. Will they fit? I'd want to use my own center caps from '72. Also, seller says they are 8" wide which seems too wide to me? Thanks!

Well, I found these too. From what I've read, these will for sure fit but I'd need to check that they have the nubs on them to take our hubcaps.

The ford wheels pictured above are 7” wide and they do fit. They need to be stamped “accuride” on the wheel to be sure they are sae and not metric pattern. They have 4 nubs and hubcaps fit.

Those GM wheels are only 6 1/2” wide.

The Ford “Accuride” 16x7 wheels work great and and pretty easy to find on most Ford vans

Yep they fit just fine but they don’t have hubcap nubs. Mine are off a 96 K2500 pickup

I've run the center caps. Put a hole saw to the front ones.

On the Ford Accurides, those were found on any 8-lug van or truck, 250 and 350 series. The trucks went to a metric pattern and those will not have Accuride stamped in them. Accuride stamp mean SAE pattern. The vans remained SAE pattern. The thing to watch on van wheels is later vans no longer ran hubcaps. They either came open wheel or with optional wheelcovers. Later van wheels have no hubcap nubs.

They look great. I have a thing for freshly sandblasted and painted or powder coated steel wheels. Juicy!!

Took it for an hour drive this morning. Rides a lot better than the old 235’s. Ha.
