Cam Bearing Problems

Trying to install cam in my 2002 5.3l LM7. Cam gets stuck
on journal #3. I've tried 3 sets of bearings, same thing. Looks
like journal is squeezing bearing really tight.

Clevite bearing set SH1814S
#3 bearing # SH-1816

Thanks
Craig

Re: Cam Bearing Problems

Many yrs ago, the machnist installed cam bearings in my old 283....he align honed them (aluma wash after). The camshaft turned like butter, & no issues, after 100,000 miles just a thought...longhorn
