Re: 73-87 hot wheels and die cast thread

I have 1 Nylint, you can see it in my bookshelf shot earlier in this thread. I would like to get some of the U-Haul Nylints that are out there, just don't have the $$ to spend on them at the moment.

Ohhh yeah...I see that truck now.I have a blue Blazer and a white pickup.I can`t remember,I think it`s a True Value Hardware truck.Tonka made those 83/84 looking trucks.I had a couple of the monster truck ones that I let my boy play with. The one blue one was mint. But,they were kinda goofy with all that plastic fender flare/running board stuff for a collector quality toy,IMO.Besides,I liked the idea of bringing my boy up playing with Chevys.

Re: 73-87 hot wheels and die cast thread

I recently picked up the red and white 83 from a Super Chevy Show and the 343 fire truck yesterday. These things are hard to find. I would like some of the All Star versions.

Re: 73-87 hot wheels and die cast thread

Someone earlier said this came in a set. Which set does it come in? Did it come out this year? I have the just released single, same color; with different decals/tampos.

I am not sure when it came out, and can't recall the set...but I saw one in the store the other day. I got mine (the one in the pic above) off ebay for cheap.

So there I was, at Walmart because the wife needed 100 slices of cheese. I know, weird. Thought it may be a pregnancy craving but turns out there is a burger burn at her work. Anyway I innocently strolled through the car section and found some new ones. Sorry Jeff LOL.

I've got the yellow with 57 on trailer and the blue/white '75; really like that color.
Haven't seen the other two yet. I usually find those at Target.

Here's one someone might want - http://cgi.ebay.com/ZEE-Toys-Rough-R...item335b02978e

It says Ford, but it doesn't look much like a Ford to me.

No, it looks like a Courier...but the package graphics illustrate full size Chevy

Re: 73-87 hot wheels and die cast thread

I was definately influenced by the package graphics. I don't even remember a Ford Courier, probably for good reason.

I haven't seen the yellow one except the one I bought. The police truck and the blue one are new releases I believe. I have seen them a few times mostly at Walmart.

Re: 73-87 hot wheels and die cast thread

This is my small 1/64 scale square body collection.

The first 3 are more recent acquisitions. 2 Hot Wheels and 1 Matchbox. I have 2 of each of the 3 trucks so I can have one out to display and the other left in the blister. I've never run across any more than just these 3 pairs or I would have picked them up too.

Then there's my original Fall Guy truck made by Ertl. I put a lot of miles on this one as a kid. Now it's got the easy life parked on the shelf with the other trucks.

Looking through this thread helped to freshen my memory. There are a lot of trucks posted in here that I just know I have boxed up and stored away. I may need to go do some digging.

Hold on to that middle truck for sure!! You've got yourself a nice error there. You've got the Valentine's Day truck on a Hot Wheels Delivery card. The Valentine's Day series is a Wal-Mart exclusive and you found one mis-carded at Target. Cool.
