Hubcap color question

Hello, I’m wondering if this was an original color for these hubcaps. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Vinnie

Re: Hubcap color question

1969 did have a silver cap, but yours almost looks like a primer gray.

Re: Hubcap color question

There is a guy selling these close by where I live.

He says they only came on 1971 and 1972 GMC Longhorn C30 trucks.

I’m with you. I’ve seen the silver painted caps but these are much darker. And the dull or matte finish does make them look primered.

Re: Hubcap color question

It does look like a correct 69-72 cap. Pretty sure the 3/4 and 1 ton shared the same caps, longhorn or otherwise.

Re: Hubcap color question

Does anyone have a list of the different rpo codes for hubcaps?

I’m wondering if there were codes at all for these style hubcaps. And if so, were there different codes for painted white vs painted silver vs stainless of chrome.

I’m only assuming that there were codes for hubcaps, because i’ve seen the code PO1 for the full covers.

Re: Hubcap color question

Painted white was standard, no option code
Chrome caps code is PO3
Full wheel covers are PO1 (they are chrome)

Soitenly! Save that link. It has all kinds of interesting info in it! Stuff I never heard of, and I worked for about 2 years at some Chevy dealers. But then I wasn't filling out order sheets...
