Still for 10K I want to be able to get in any truck I buy for that price that doesn't come with a parts collection of pieces that were bought for it and go with it and drive the truck home.
Patina is wear from use, not neglect, by definition, so I understand completely. Just cant find/afford those ones (=

Barn kept 58 Big window 3200 that may be actually worth te 6500. This is one of the nicest untouched TF trucks I have seen show up in a long time as far as rust or other real issues. The rear fenders need some hammer and dolly work but look solid.

FB market place add. It's been on there for 5 weeks so it may be gone.

Someone is having an inventory reduction. Not me though.

https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...458805689.html

I have 5 different trucks old Chevy trucks that I’m looking to sell and want gone.
They were on my property when I bought it and the previous land owner didn’t have titles for them therefore I do not have titles for the trucks that I am selling.

Chevy 6400 dump truck (late 40’s early 50’s) $2000OBO

1941 Chevy cab $200OBO

2) Chevy 3500 dually cab and chassis mid 1940’s $750OBO

Chevy 6400 dually cab and chassis mid 1940’s $1750OBO

Hobart welder generator combo on a trailer $400OBO

I also have a few more generators if your interested. We can negotiate a price on site.

Mid 1940’ Baja VW beetle in pretty rough shape $50

If I wasn't tight for money I'd go after that 41 cab. That and I just flat don't need another project right now. I've wanted a Diamond T for years but that one is too much of a challenge If they hadn't smashed it with the cat that one was probaby worth more than all the rest of the stuff combined.

Trailer that is made out of a TF short box with decent fenders . Box isn't that bad but the tail gate is a tad rough. Wapato Wa
https://yakima.craigslist.org/pts/d/...449644397.html

It's about 10 miles from me if someone is interested and wants it looked at an photos taken. That might let someone decide if they want to drive a couple hundred miles to see about it.

I think this belongs to the same people who have the TF short box. Says it is a 48 and they have most of the body parts. Price is out of my wheelhouse but I don't ned it anyhow. https://yakima.craigslist.org/pts/d/...447225160.html

Ran when parked wheat truck with a hoist. Cab looks like it might be worth the asking price.

Says it is a 52 parked since the 70's.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!

52 Burb 4x4 conversion on FB marketplace Puyallup wa. 11K project.

IH scout Chassis

A tad spendy but a guy might look at it with the idea of selling the chassis and putting the body on a two wheel drive frame as the body looks nice in the photos.

This one probably isn't for everyone but it has a lot of potential.

That truck is absolutely beat to death. I couldn't say how may trucks I have scrapped that were in better shape than that simply because they were too rough to fix up.

Maybe he means "all original" like when he originally got it. Haha.
When I see original or pristine in the ad I always lower my expectations. Dont expect much and you wont be disappointed.

Re: Post your C/L finds for everyone to enjoy!

The price triples when you have the "barn find" equipment on it. I'd say that guy has a bad case of trying to hook a sucker who is all too excited about getting one of those "cool old patina trucks".

BIG 54 GMC This showed up on FB Marketplace in Yakima this morning. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks

It looks like a viable cab donor for someone in the PNW looking for a 54 GMC Cab.

What's with the goofy Dodge grille insert. Well, SORTA inserted!

Certainly is a cheap enough starting point for somebody @ $1800

Studebaker grill rather than a Dodge but it could be a swap meet item.

To me that is a cab for a cab swap and little more. The truck is worth what the cab with doors is worth sitting on your trailer.

Wow, a "stepside." That's pretty rare for 47-54 pickups. No wonder it's so expensive.

The rare 47/54 Stepside option with the added cost barn dirt.

Remembering that some clown showed up at a local car show a year ago in a rattle trap mid 50's 4 door with "barn find" dirt on it that he was overly proud of.

Parts cost may kill the hobby outright. Looking at 20 to 50% over last year.

Yeah, brain cramp on my part. I knew it was a Studebaker but just typed Dodge for some reason.

As to the rest the truck I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. In the past I'd have been with you on buying just for the cab and front sheet metal clip. Now, after having built mine I MIGHT be interested in the idea of a lowered dually with stake bed.
