!978 Seat Question

I have searched and talked to a lot of people and still don't have a solid answer. I have a 78 that came without seats. I was told that 78 and up would work but then was told that 78-79 are the same and 80 and up are different as far as they way they mount. I bout a set of 80 seats and no the holes don't line up on the driver side. Does anyone know for sure what years fit 78? The passenger seat seems to fit but seems a little low, the bracket holes line up. Also the rear seat bracket on the front of the bench have a forward facing bracket where the other I have seen sit flat. Any advice is appreciate and if you have any 78 brackets I need them!
