Re: 1972 Chevrolet C20 4x4, 383 stroker, TH350 trans, NP205 Transfer Case - $20,000

I have had requests for some photos of rust spots inside the cab and on the bottoms of the doors. Also a better picture of the bed.

Someone did a nice job converting it over to 4x4. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold yet as a lot of people looking for a nice run around truck won’t care about the conversion and lower white added.

Thanks. Honestly, this forum is the only place i’ve had it for sale. I’ve been patient in hopes that I would receive more serious interest from potential buyers on this site rather than other classifieds.

I’m still hopeful i can sell it here to the right person who appreciates it for what it is. I’m happy to provide more info and answer any questions. Let me know.

Thanks for the interest.

The "rust" you posted looks very minimal to me. In your original post you said there is rust in engine bay and fender area? Any pics of that?

Re: 1972 Chevrolet C20 4x4, 383 stroker, TH350 trans, NP205 Transfer Case - $20,000

I have been able to share a lot more detail via phone/text and have had good feedback on this truck from other prospective buyers. The color has been a sticking point to sell it, some are uncomfortable with a c20 body on a 4x4 chasis and one prospective buyer told me they were unable to do a deal because they couldn't find a low enough shipping cost to ship further north. If you are interested in this truck, shoot me a PM with your phone number and i will respond with all the information you need. Its hard to tell what these trucks are worth, i have gotten good feedback from others that the price seems “about right” but as you can see a deal hasn't been done yet. So if you think the price is too high, please give me a serious offer. I think this truck is worth more than $15K but, maybe not. I’d like to hear from those more experienced in the forum if this is priced unreasonably at $20K. Again, i posted this truck here rather than other marketplaces because I would like this to go to someone who is going to enjoy it for what it is, not spend a lot of energy fielding low ball offers. That said, let me know if i can do anything to ease concerns there might be about the truck or the price. Thanks for looking.

I think what you mentioned are preventing the sale. Shipping costs are only going to get worse with the current fuel costs. The C body will hold back the people that want a true 4wd survivor. In my opinion the price is a little steep, but not out of this world. I don't think the color hurts it. For me personally, this would be the perfect truck to drive and not worry about getting caught in the rainstorm or inclement weather. I would not care about the donor body swap. It happens all the time on restored trucks and they sell for crazy money. Ebay typically has a 4wd restored truck with a C vin tag and they sell and are insured just fine.

I had communicated with you over a year ago regarding this truck - i just wasn't in a position to purchase it. I am seriously considering selling my bronco to maybe put an offer your way. I'm surprised someone hasn't made a deal on this truck yet. It would be a great start for someone to restore, or it seems perfect for what i would want it for. Good luck with the sale, and maybe we will talk soon.

I do feel that it would sell on marketplace or ebay. You would just have to deal with all the BS'ers until you found a legit buyer.

Hello, A Very Nice Rebuilt Truck!! $15-$18K is a fair price. People are sticklers when it comes to the Originality on these trucks. Good luck with your sale.

RHarris and 72 Jimmy Power, thanks for taking the time to offer your insights and feedback. Your points are well taken and i hear you on the price. That said, the truck is still available as of today and I am willing to negotiate below $20K. So to anyone interested in making a serious offer please shoot me a message. Thanks!
