Zinc spraying?

Saw a demonstration in one of the hot rod mags (Car Craft I think) about spraying zinc to fill in holes, I wonder if it would work well for a blazer WS frame?

It was a zinc spray, I think they filled holes in the windshield frame on an elky or something similar.
