Question 2.5" Drop Spindles for '72

I'm looking to start ordering parts for my drop and found some modular spindles from CPP for $230.00 with free shipping. Is there any reason why I should use a different spindle or go through a different manufacturer/one of our vendors? If it helps, the truck is a '72 SWB, the wheels are 18x8" with 4.5" bs (if I remember correctly), and I plan to do a 3"/4" drop. It's my first time lowering and just looking for advice...

Re: 2.5" Drop Spindles for '72

Greetings from a fellow cedar fever sufferer! I used cpp springs to do 3"/4" on my72, only because I got a hf price deal here on the parts board. I would have used dropped spindles if buying new, but the truck rides and drives great with lowering springs. Their parts seem good quality to me. I have a set of western 2-1/2" dropped spindles and 4" cpp lowering springs to use on the next truck. Since its a big block i wasnt sure what drip i wouldactually get if using springs again. I also got about a half price deal on them as well and they were local,so no shipping.

Do you ever make the cruise in at Big Lots? I havent been since it got cold and havent had the current truck there, but did when i had a dark grey 71 GMC swb stepside, which was sold. Maybe we have met (?)

I haven't been in a while, but have had my white truck out there a few times. I usually hang around Jerry with the newer gray ZL1 Camaro? I will have to make it out soon with the truck. I don't think I've gotten to meet you, but I'll have to let you know when I get out next.
Thanks for the input on the springs. I'm really looking forward to getting it done and getting rid of the gap!

I just installed CPP 2.5" drop spindles on the front of my 71. It looks great, easy to install, rides, and handles great.
